Dhanwantharam Mezhukupakam in classical Ayurveda
Dhanwantharam Mezhukupakam belongs to the classical body preparations of Ayurveda, built on the well-known Dhanwantharam formula. The mezhukupakam is its rich, semisolid form, set firm with Lac.
It is prepared by the classical method, in which the herbs are cooked slowly into a sesame oil base and set with Lac. In the tradition the warmed oil is used for Abhyanga, the practice of slow, even massage: the oil is worked into the body, left for a time, and followed by a warm bath.

Two things are checked: heavy metals, by a laboratory method called ICP-MS, and microbiological safety, against the international standard ISO 17516:2014. The figures below are representative results; every batch is retested before release.
Heavy metals
