Ghritham
Triphala Ghritham
Triphala Ghritham is a classical Ayurvedic preparation in which Triphala, the traditional trio of Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki, is gently infused into a clarified butter-based classical preparation. In Ayurveda, a Ghritham (a clarified butter-based classical preparation) is prized as a carrier that draws the qualities of its herbs deep into the body, and Triphala itself is among the most revered of all formulations, long valued as a Rasayana.
Ingredients
Amalaki (Emblica officinalis, the cooling and nourishing member of the Triphala trio, classically valued as a Rasayana), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula, traditionally regarded as a balancing and grounding fruit), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica, the third fruit of Triphala, valued for its supportive qualities), all gently infused into a clarified butter-based classical preparation that serves as the carrier.
How to use
Take a small measured amount, around half to one teaspoon, on an empty stomach in the morning, or as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner. It may be taken on its own or with a little warm water. For internal use as a food supplement. Best enjoyed as part of a steady daily or seasonal routine.
Triphala Ghritham
It is traditionally valued in Ayurveda for the eyes (Netra) and as a gentle daily companion within a considered Dinacharya (daily routine). Taken in small measured amounts, it is experienced as a smooth, grounding preparation: warm in character and calming to the system, well suited to a steady seasonal practice rather than an occasional one. Many appreciate its quiet rhythm as part of a mindful morning ritual.
